From drug discovery, quality testing, water and food analysis to medical diagnostics, basic interaction studies play a key role in scientific advancement. We noticed too many scientists were forced to use outdated techniques and instrumentation; they simply didn’t have the funds to properly fuel their work. This was greatly slowing them down. We made it our business to redress that.
Unlike traditional SPR instruments, OpenSPR uses nanotechnology. That makes the system easy to use, compact, easier to maintain, and significantly more affordable. Like traditional SPR instruments, OpenSPR generates the same label-free data in real time. Binding kinetics … at 1/10th the cost!
So, before we get started on this blogging journey, you are likely wondering why the name “Nicoya.” Nicoya is a city in Costa Rica and also a designated blue zone, indicating it is one of six places in the world with the largest population of centenarians. Our ultimate goal is to help you and your research enable far more people to live healthily to be 100.
