Meet Revo

Several years ago, Nicoya changed the digital SPR landscape. Now in 2026, we have done it again with the introduction of Revo. Revo is our four- or eight-channel digital SPR benchtop system built for big science, not high costs. Finally, an instrument that makes gold-standard SPR data accessible for any lab.

Revo is a Revolution in…

  • Performance: Revo offers best-in-class sensitivity and stability for reliable kinetics across a variety of molecules, including peptides, proteins, and complex biologics.
  • Workflow: Revo requires 70% less hands-on time compared to traditional instruments. You can also measure kinetics, affinity, and quant directly from crude samples – no purifications or fluidics prep required.
  • Impact: Revo allows you to maximize the impact of each experiment with accurate, reproducible results across replicates, users, and consumable lots.
  • Scale: Revo can easily be upgraded from four to eight channels without the need for a new instrument or new workflows.
  • Efficiency: Revo’s fully automated, cartridge-based workflow only requires 2 µL of sample and eliminates clogging and fluidics maintenance needs, so you can spend more time making discoveries.
  • Affordability: Revo helps you save on capital price, along with recurring costs, with a compact, scalable instrument and affordable consumables.

Application Highlight

Peptide therapeutics, especially GLP-1 agonists like semaglutide, present classic characterization challenges: low molecular weight, propensity to self-assemble, and off-target affinities.

In a recent experiment, our team measured the kinetics of a semaglutide against its target, GLP-1R and HSA, using only 2 µL of each sample. Revo performed all serial dilutions fully automated within the cartridge. Despite traditional challenges, Revo still showed a clear concentration-dependent signal for the semaglutide, leading to a good kinetic fit and low-error data.

This study shows how Revo eliminates the common challenges of using SPR to provide a more cost-effective and efficient solution for biologics discovery and development.

Consumables

In addition to the new instrument, Nicoya is also now offering Streptavidin cartridges along with our traditional Carboxyl cartridges. These new cartridges offer several advantages, including:

  • The immobilization of biotin-tagged molecules without amine coupling – making it easier than ever to study biotinylated proteins or ligands.
  • Higher throughput per cartridge, allowing you to do more with the same cartridge size.
  • A reduction in optimization steps, reducing time and effort to actionable data
